MEET THE TEAM!
Our 2017 summer crew:
Paige: I graduated from high school in June 2017. I have lived in Port Alberni all my life, and next year I plan to begin pursuing an education in teaching. I teach preschool dance classes and facilitate Red Cross programs to elementary students, I find it very rewarding getting to work with and influence youth. I am looking forward to what this summer holds for me at the Maritime Heritage Society.
Morgan: my passion for Port Alberni and my interest in our maritime heritage led me to working for the Port Alberni Maritime Heritage Society. I have recently received my Bachelor of Science with a Major in Biology from Vancouver Island University and will be beginning the Doctor of Chiropractic program at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon this fall. I look forward to meeting you at the Maritime Discovery Centre this summer!
Dylan: I was born and raised here in Port Alberni. I'm currently in my 3rd year studying chemistry at UVIC, and I plan to pursue a career in forensics. I've always been interested in history, and since I enjoy working with children, I am very excited to be a part of the Maritime Heritage Society this summer!
