This year we have another great staff working at the gallery. Dylan, Mila, and Jenna complete our summer 2018 team.
Dylan: I’m 20 years old and I’m returning for my second year as an exhibit guide here at the Maritime Discovery Centre. I have just completed my 3rd year of studies towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Victoria. Having been born and raised here in Port Alberni, maritime history feels like it has always been a part of my life and having worked here last year I got to learn even more about it and the countless stories from young and old that our proud town has to offer. I hope to see you here soon.
Mila: I am 19 years old and I will be working as an exhibit guide at the Maritime Discovery Centre. I am currently a student at the University of Ottawa going into my second year in the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition bilingual program. This summer, I am excited to meet and build connections with members of our local community as well as with visitors from across Canada and overseas. I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you soon and making fun summer memories!
Jenna: I am 17 years old and I am in my final year of high school. In September I will be going to North Island College to pursue a career as a dental assistant. I am familiar with working with children as I have volunteered with parks and recreation. I am excited to start working at the Maritime Heritage Society as an exhibit guide and I am looking forward to learning more about the history of our town.
